The Middle School season is well under way with a number of duals and a tournament already completed. The wrestlers are having a good time, developing a sense of "team" and learning a lot this season. Their next two duals are at home, come see them at the River Bluff old gym :

USA Wrestling is excited to introduce our 2008-2009 folkstyle wrestling series designed to provide wrestlers a chance to compete against the best in the country in America's most popular style of wrestling.

The Folkstyle Tour of America wrestling series, presented by Dollamur Sport Surfaces kicks off with the Salt Lake Slam slated for December 6th at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Visit www.usafolkstyle.com for more information.

The three Folkstyle Tour of America events are included in USA Wrestling's Ultimate Challenge Series USA Wrestling's Ultimate Challenge Series which will come to a finish at the ASICS Folkstyle National Championships on April 3-5, 2009.

USA Wrestling recognizes the need to offer opportunities outside the traditional Olympic styles of wrestling and continues to make strides towards providing opportunities in folkstyle wrestling. The goals of the Series are to create interest and attract new members who previously only recognized USA Wrestling as a freestyle and Greco-Roman organization; to provide USA Wrestling membership with quality and consistent folkstyle events on a national level; and to enhance and expand USA Wrestling's event programming.

High School practice starts the week of November 16th, only two weeks away! It is amazing how quickly the new season has come upon us! Youth registration information is up on the youth page, practices start in late December. Early season wrestling clinic opportunities are out there for those of you who "can't wait". :)

Advance is having Jared Lawrence come in as a guest clinician on Saturday November 8th. High school guys are going from 12:00 to 2:30 and kids are going from 2:30 to 4:30. The cost is $50.
